What is a custom McFarlane figure? It's rather
simple. I simply take an original figure apart, primer, paint,
create and add decals, and put it all back together again. There
are really many different ways to complete a custom. Some people
are able to modify many different part of the figure and others,
like me, just take the original figure and make the customer
requested modifications (uniform details, helmet details, shoe
details, etc...).
How long does it take you ask? As I only do this as a hobby it usually takes me about a week or so to complete a figure. This is because I take my time to produce a quality figure that looks like an original, which is not always what you get. Keep in mind the quality of your figure will depend on the quality of the artist that creates it. So be careful. With times as they are you do not want to spend your hard earned money on something that is not up to your standards.
